- Q: Illegal Signs and Banners: Code enforcement of business signs. Transportable home sale signs, adjacent to Soledad Canyon Road, in Canyon Country. These signs continue to be moved around and placed near Soledad canyon Road. WHY aren't the City's code enforcement officers citing this home builder for violating the placements of these home sales signs?
- A: There are specific city municipal codes and ordinances prohibiting certain signs and banners in the City of Santa Clarita. The specific codes can be researched at the following link: Santa Clarita Municipal Codes.
For banners, a permit must be secured from the Planning Department at City Hall. All "A" frame signs are prohibited in the City as well as portable signs (SCMC 17.19.240), with few exceptions.

My main question is color. My truck is dark blue. The break light come in seven colour choices. I would like to use the blue one to match my truck. It's a light blue (link below). Is using blue lights on non police vehicles legal in our area/CA? Thanks so much! I'm glad I can ask a question this way & give a link, rather then try & explain this at the police station.
- A: Any type of blue lighting is illegal on non-emergency vehicles in California. I would go with the red.
These type of decorating lights and all other forms of flashing or decorative lights are illegal in California under section 24003 and 25250 of the California Vehicle Code.
