Advisory Committee
Are you aware that your community has a group of concerned citizens that serve as a liaison between the community and the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station? The Community Advisory Committee is not a civilian review board, but it is a group of Santa Clarita Valley residents, whose mission is to develop a better understanding between the Sheriff's department and the citizens of the Santa Clarita Valley through education and communications. They work closely with station personnel concerning the law enforcement issues in our community.
Over the years Committee members have been involved in establishing the We-Tip Hotline, Juvenile Traffic Court, the city's Parenting Guide, Teen Court, the Canyon Country Sub-Station and civilian bike patrol and obtaining much needed supplies for our deputies.
The committee wants to hear from you concerning what you feel the law enforcement issues are in our expanding Valley. The Advisory Committee meets the third Wednesday each month at the SCV Station. If you have a concern, you may contact any Committee member by writing us at SCV LASD Community Advisory Committee, 23740 W. Magic Mountain Parkway, Valencia, CA 91355
